Venomous Kate is considering morphing Electric Venom into some sort of a "group blog." Kate is conducting a little market research and solicits readers input in a poll.
I think the idea is appealing, if I get to participate. At the same time Electric Venom is one of my favorite reads. I would hate to loose Electric Venom.
James Joyner, at Outside the Beltway, has some very interesting opinions about Kate's proposal. James has some interesting reactions to Kate's proposal. James posts that he is no fond of guest bloggers or blog collectives. James also points out that a blog is essentially a dialog between a writer and an audience.
Like James, I am not fond of guest bloggers. I go back to blogs because I enjoy what those bloggers post.
Perhaps as she did with Electric Venom, in creating "Axis of Venom" Kate will come up with a format and content I enjoy. In any event I hope Electric Venom continues.
