Nader Will Be On Connecticut Ballot
The Associated Press reports that Ralph Nader will be on the Connecticut ballot as an independent candidate:
The recent poll showing President Bush gaining ground on Kerry in Connecticut found Nader polling at 6 percent.A spokesman for the secretary of the state's office confirms that Nader's campaign has filed enough signatures to qualify.
Another Associated Press report said Nader will also be on the ballot in Florida. That may not be the final word about the Florida ballot. Even though the Reform Party submitted an application for Nader and a Florida state election official said it will be certified and Nader will "appear on the ballot," the Florida Democratic Party has promised to scrutinize the ballot application for a possible challenge.
The Nader campaign could use the good news after a Pennsylvania judicial panel knocked Nader off the Pennsylvania ballot on Monday.
According to the Associated Press Nader is officially on the ballot in nine states and can appear on at least five others through his Reform Party endorsement. That's more states than I realized.
