Reuters reports that the U.S. vetoed a U.N. Security Council draft resolution demanding that Israel stop its offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Eleven nations voted in favor. Britain, Germany and Romania abstained.
The draft resolution demanded "the immediate cessation of all military operations in the area of northern Gaza" and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
The U.N.'s treatment of Israel never ceases to disgust me.
