Bush's Campaign Manager Elected Party Chairman

Ken Mehlman, President Bush's campaign manager, is now chairman of the Republican National Committee.

UPDATE: Patrick Ruffini links to the Associated Press report which quotes Mehlman:

There's a word for this kind of victory," he said. "It's called a mandate."
