This is the most vile, disgusting and unbelievable example of biased media I have ever seen.
ABC News tries to "balance" Inauguration coverage with funeral coverage.
PowerLine's Hindrocket posts:
Jan. 19, 2005 — For a possible Inauguration Day story on ABC News, we are trying to find out if there any military funerals for Iraq war casualties scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20. If you know of a funeral and whether the family might be willing to talk to ABC News, please fill out the form below:
Hindrocket notes that only the families of Iraqi war dead need apply. If a soldier died in Afghanistan, or aiding tsunami victims in Indonesia or Sri Lanka, or in a training exercise, that's not good enough for ABC.
By the time California Yankee discovered this story, ABC had pulled the its morbid solicitation. Ed Morrissey has archived it at Captain's Quarters.
I'm at a complete loss to adequately express my feelings about this disgusting outrage. The blogosphere isn't suffering such a loss and it won't let ABC get away with it.
At PoliPundit, Lorie Byrd doesn't know whether to take a shower or throw up.
At Blogs For Bush, Kevin Patrick posts that after the demise of CBS and Dan Rather you would think these "news" organizations would learn. Unfortunately you'd be wrong.
Critical Mastiff hopes that the media elites are indeed ignorant of the fact that media attention is the greatest weapon of the terrorists, because the alternative is that they are knowingly giving the enemy material aid in their fight against America.
At Random Jottings, John Weidner posts that the main stream media gives Saddam Hussein more respect than they give the President of the United States of America.
