At Thoughts On Line, Steve Strum posts about what ails the Democrats. Steve thinks the Dems won't be able to win until they exorcize the loony left [my words, not Steve's]. Steve's post is much more thoughtful and thought provoking than that introduction implies.
I don't entirely agree with Steve's analysis of the Vietnam War protestors. I for one went from a Vietnam hawk to anti-war because of the way we refused to fight the war. Either fight to win or get out. I think others suffered that same metamorphosis.
I do agree that the Dems can't win unless they move back towards the mainstream.
