The Associated Press reports an Amtrak Acela train collided with a car at a crossing in Waterford, Connecticut.
WFSB reports two people were killed in the collision and a third sent to the hospital via Lifestar helicopter.
The engine of the train can be seen resting on wreckage of a white car along the tracks about 100 yards south of the Miner Lane crossing.
The pictures are from WTHN's Chopper 8.
