UPDATE: It's Official. President Bush nominated Harriet Miers to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

Bloomberg, CNN and Reuters are all reporting President Bush is expected to name White House counsel Harriet Miers as his choice to replace retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
The announcement is expected to be made at 8 a.m.
Miers, currently White House counsel, has never been a judge and was the first woman to serve as president of the Texas State Bar and the Dallas Bar Association. She also served on the Dallas City Council.
