Let's see, if I disagree with you, instead of having a conversation why don't I just call you a traitor and dismiss you. This president has created a schoolyard bully ethics in government that will take a long time to purge. Oh yeah, I suppose the "Contract with Al Qaeda" is simply just a joke. Ha Ha. And if anyone has singlehandedly strengthened Al Qaeda and various other terrorist organizations, this president has done that.

Craig,

"Less trustworthy than Bush".

Are you thinking Cheney?

Hey, the Democrats are NOT IN POWER, remember? So why should they suggest anything because the Republicans will just ignore it and do what they want. This is just a smokescreen to divert attention from the failures of the Republicans. Remember, if the driver of your car has driven you off a cliff, it is not the responsibility of the passengers to offer constructive criticisms as to how to fiy the situation.

Reallibertarian

ahh yes. blame a liberal day?
how long have Republicans been the majority party in power?

Craig

"AJ's post takes the Democrats' complaints to logical extremes showing just how silly and dangerous many of their complaints are."

Translation: The right does its standard operating procedure of creating and defeating straw men, mispresenting the left.

It's a fine distraction from their own problems to say 'hate the left' instead.

Those who haven't figured this out after thousands of incidents and years, are unlikely to any time soon.

I have only one worry about giving the president the power to wiretap domestically without a warrant. What happens if a less trustworthy person than Bush gets into the Whitehouse and starts wiretapping good Americans? Can we take it back?

tommo

Until we incompetantly invaded Iraq, experts estimated there were bout 1000 Al Qaeda members world-wide. Of course, our continued and disasterous occupation has boosted their numbers. But those on the right are acting like the chicken-littles of the 50s "Reds are under the beds!" scare. In an effort to bolster the worst president ever, they (you) are willing chug the kool-aid.

madmatt

And what exactly have repugs done to make us safer....they take away our freedoms which means they let the terrorists win!
