Quinnipiac University's "thermometer reading," taken the week after the November 7 election, asked voters to rate the warmth of their feelings for 20 leaders on a scale of 0 to 100.
Thirteen of the 26 potential 2008 candidates were among the 20. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Republican Senator John McCain and Democratic Senator Barack Obama came out on top. Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic nominee came in last:

The poll was conducted from November 13-19 and has a margin of error margin of plus or minus 2.4 percent.
