The Associated Press reports Democrats John Edwards and Wesley Clark still have debts of several hundred thousand dollars from their unsuccessful 2004 White House bids.
Edwards is in a significantly weaker financial position than other leading hopefuls:
Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, the Democrats' 2004 presidential nominee, has more than ten million dollars in his political account.New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Indiana Senator Evan Bayh also have more than ten million dollars on hand.
Edwards, the 2004 Democratic vice presidential nominee, had only 22-hundred dollars in his campaign account recently and more than 300-thousand dollars in unpaid bills.
I'm surprised that Edwards hasn't raised more money in his nonstop campaign.
