Mitt Romney was projected to be the winner of the Florida Republican primary as soon as the polls closed. It's not a just a win, but it looks like it will be a regular thumpin.
In Florida, Mitt showed he can fight to win. Based on exit polling Romney won key groups including:
- 51% of the Women
- 53% of the Hispanics
- 57% of Cubans
- 51% of Other Hispanics
- 51% of the Somewhat Conservatives
- 59% of Moderates
- 51% of Seniors
In addition Romney beat Gingrich among TEA Party Supporters 40% to 38% and lost to Gingrich by only 1% among born-again or evangelical Christians.
