United Press International reports the Ohio teen at the center of "Ashley's Story," my favorite ad from the Bush-Kerry contest, will attend Thursday's inauguration.
Ashley's Story, which aired nearly 30,000 times in the month before the U.S. presidential election, told the story of Ashley Faulkner, whose mother was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
According to UPI, Progress for America, which created the ad, is paying the way for Ashley, her father, Lynn, and sister, Loren, to attend the festivities.
Ashley's Story was easily the most powerful ad of the presidential campaign. The first time I watched it My eyes filled with tears. You can watch the ad here.
Thank you for posting that news story. I hope the Faulkners have a wonderful time!

Just thinking about that ad gives me chills. You do realize that the largest donor to Progress for America is Alex Spanos the owner of the Chargers.
