Sunday we loaded our son's stuff into the car, drove to DC, got him moved into his new dorm, I checked into the hotel, pulled out the computer, and the phone rang. It was my wife. She said "I've been in an accident." She said she is okay, but she didn't sound like it. The other driver was screaming "I didn't see you, my insurance just lapsed, I don't have my license...."
I check out of the hotel, I've been there a whole 18 minutes, I called my son, told him I'm sorry about dinner, etc. and drove back to CT.
My wife is okay, shaken, but okay. The car is totaled. That is why we drive safe cars.
So I will be distracted doing insurance and other car related stuff.
Please excuse the lack of blogging.
I'm glad everything worked out well. The "I've been in an accident" has got to be one of the worse phone calls anyone can get.
