Out of the Mouths of Babes

These new attack ads by "Swift Boat Kids for Truth" aren't exactly what the biblical verse had in mind. The ads may not even reach the literary sense of the idiom "out of the mouths of babes" - something that you say when a small child says something that shows an adult's wisdom and understanding of a situation.

Are these funny, speaking truth to power, or simply inappropriate?
