Ted Kennedy and Rahm Emanuel are not happy about Bill Clinton's aggressive attacks on Barack Obama:
During a December taping with PBS's Charlie Rose, a frustrated Clinton called Obama "a roll of the dice," as aides tried to end the interview. Then, in New Hampshire, he argued angrily that the story of Obama's principled position on the Iraq War was a "fairy tale," a charge few reporters bought. Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, the top-ranking African-American in Congress and officially neutral, found Clinton's tone insulting and said so publicly.Atler's article hasn't caused Bill to shut up. Before the Nevada caucuses, Clinton claimed that Nevada union officials backing Obama were strong-arming members into caucusing for Obama.
Both Kennedy and Rahm Emanuel have both told the former president that he needs to shut up. Clinton won't listen. From his perspective, Clinton's Obmamacide is working. He wasn't able to save Hillary from the embarrassment of losing Iowa, but Hillary managed to come out on top in New Hampshire. Clinton also got more votes in Nevada, even though Obama won the delegate race. I'm sure Bill thinks this all the result of his coup.
Even the Obama campaign seems to think the Bill's attacks are hurting Obama. Why else would Obama call Clinton a liar.
There is a cost to the Clintons for trying to win the nomination with such tactics. Pundits are asking if Hillary's campaign can't control Bill, how can Hillary White House? In addition to playing the race card to survive Nevada, Hillary lost the black vote. If Hillary wins the Democratic nomination will black voters forgive Bill's attacks on Obama?
If he is going to confront Bill (the disbarred lawyer) Clinton every time Bill lies, Obama will be the busiest person in America.
In my lifetime I've had the privilege of watching Magic Johnson and Larry Bird and Michael Jordan play basketball, Wayne Gretzky play hockey, Muhammed Ali box, Tom Seaver pitch, Tiger Woods golf.
And I've heard the Clintons lie.
Greatness comes in many forms .
