I was like many Americans who may not have had any contact with our armed forces. I was just old enough to be drafted when the Vietnam war ended but was not called. After 9/11 I began to understand the sacrifice and the bravery. My respect grew. Since then I have placed flowers on Memorial day on random graves at Rosecrans Military Cemetery every year. I bring my children and have tried to instill in them a respect and remembrance for those who fell while protecting our freedom. This is the least I can do. I understand now. Thank You.</p>
