Gallup finds 70%, more Americans than ever, now believe divorce is morally acceptable. That's up from 59% back in 2001 and 67% in 2006.
At the same time, adultery, one of the main reasons for divorce, is the fewest find to be morally acceptable. Only 7% find adultery morally acceptable.
Compared with 2001, Americans are also more accepting of sex between unmarried men and women, and for the first time Americans are evenly split, 48% to 48%, on whether homosexual relations are morally acceptable.
