In a new feature at the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire, Brad Haynes picks a political ad of the week.
Last week, Haynes picked is McCain's “Accountable.”
The ad highlights McCain’s centrist appeal and his plans to make taxes "simpler and fairer," energy “cleaner and cheaper,” health care "affordable and portable," corporate CEOs “accountable” mortgage debt “restructured.”
Haynes notes the ad's use of an African-American woman to suggest McCain is trying to seal the deal with cross-over voters leaning toward Obama. Is the Obama logo in that scene subliminal messaging?
