According to Fox News, Obama is pulling nine cargo aircraft -- five medium-capacity C-130s and four heavyweight C-17s, from military operations to support his campaign.

Is that an abuse of the president's commander-in-chief authority? It sure seems like it to me. I note that Wikipedia states that a C-17 accompanies the President and is used to transport the presidential limousine and security detachments.
It's not enough that we provide the president a 747 to fly around the country. Nor is it enough that Obama also audaciously uses taxpayer-bought buses for taxpayer-funded reelection campaign bus tours. No, instead of using some of the billion dollars he is raising to try get himself reelected, Obama now uses nine U.S. Air Force cargo aircraft so taxpayers can pay for his campaign.
If Obama wanted taxpayers to pay for his campaign, he should not have become the first presidential candidate to opt out of the public financing since the system was enacted in response to the Watergate Scandal.
