A Boeing 777 operated by Asiana Airlines crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport today.
It is way to early to know what happened, but it appears there was enough time to evacuate the aircraft.

I just crash landed at SFO. Tail ripped off. Most everyone seems fine. I'm ok. Surreal... (at @flySFO) [pic] — https://t.co/E6Ur1XEfa4

In addition, this video shows the evacuation slides were deployed and the passengers evacuated before the fire burned the fuselage.
There are conflicting reports as to the number of casualties but there is no confirmed information at this time as to the number or severity of the injuries
San Francisco International Airport is now closed.
